© 2012 SandraWarren.com     “Writing is a profession that reaches in and grabs both the yin and yang of a writer’s soul.                          To be successful, a writer has to be both extremely sensitive and tough as nails.” Author is a title I can claim because I have had the good fortune to have been published by several publishing houses. Whether or not I am a writer, remains to be seen. In my mind, a writer is someone who can sit down and tap out a story from beginning to end. Sounds simple enough and yet I know it doesn’t happen without a ton of edits, revisions, restructuring and rewrites along the way. Over the years, I’ve come to realize that what I really am is a writer- in-training. Every story idea that jumps into my eclectic brain and every manuscript I pen teaches me something new about the craft of writing and about myself. And if I’m really, really smart, I pay attention to those lessons learned.
